• Fiat currency is money that can be created out of thin air
• That allows governments and central banks say, to put it in a religious context: “let our kingdom come and our will be done”
  • To go fund good projects all over the world - public schools, and all kids of good things
  • As well as things like the military industrial complex and infinite war

The government can’t save us

• If you believe that printing money is the same as creating wealth
• then you believe the government can create wealth out of nothing
• which means the government should solve all problems that money can solve
• thus we have more and more expectations and we become more and more dependent upon the government

Wasteful consumption and consumerism incentivized

• Planned obsolescence
• Marketing creates artificial needs and desires
• Easy credit encourages unnecessary spending
• Fast fashion promotes disposable culture
• Constant upgrades of electronics are normalized
